Maggie Biggane, Jack Biggane and Dr. Margaret Callahan of Memorial Sloan Kettering in New York City will be on WABC on Katz’s Corner Sunday, December 17th at 7am. The Bigganes and Dr. Callahan will be discussing melanoma.

Mollie’s Fund will provide 18,000 “Have You Checked Your Skin Lately?” brochures to all participants. Junior athletes representing 50 states and US territories will compete in 20 different sports. Many of the events are outdoor and student athletes will be reminded through our brochure of the necessity of being sun-safe. Founded in 1888, the Amateur Athletic Union is the largest non-profit, volunteer multi-sports organization in the country. Their well known alumni include: Carl Lewis, Magic Johnson and Sue Bird.

Mollie’s Fund will provide sunscreen, skin cancer prevention materials in the month of June. Wide brimmed hats will be donated to the pool staff for their sun safety.
Camp Anchor — Lido Beach, NY
Answering the Needs of Citizens with Handicaps through Organized Recreation Mollie was a Camp Anchor volunteer. Our foundation will provide sunscreen to the 250 summer volunteers. For more information about Summer programs at Camp Anchor call (516) 431–6946.
Garden City Middle School — Garden City, NY
Garden City Middle School, 6th Grade “Sun Safety” Presentation with the assistance of Drs. Ted Daly (Garden City Dermatology) and Dr. John Clarke (“the physician musician”). All students will receive hats, downloads of Dr. Clarke’s song, and our “Have You Checked Your Skin Lately?” brochures, after viewing “The Dark Side of the Sun”, and participating in a Q&A discussion forum with Dr. Daly.
